Meet Your Tutor
Hi everyone! I'm Han - your Korean tutor, a fellow K-culture fan of 20 years, and the creator behind NTN.
My interest in Korean culture began back in 2008, eventually leading me to major in BA Korean at the UK's top language university, as well as study abroad at Yonsei University in Korea.
I relocated to Korea in 2019 and have since gained 5+ years of professional language-teaching experience and worked in the K-pop Industry. I've also passed the KIPRAT, the exam required for Korean citizenship, requiring cultural & historical knowledge too.
Today, my main job is Professional Korean Tuition, but I created No Translation Needed because I wanted to offer fellow K-culture fans a more approachable way to learn Korean - one that connects directly to the things we already love. I wanted NTN to be self-paced, practical and genuinely enjoyable, without feeling as daunting as traditional education.
But you don't have to learn alone! NTN learners are welcome to become part of my existing YouTube Discord community, where you can practice Korean, ask questions, share your progress and connect with fellow K-culture fans.
